AssetsXP Technologies was founded in 2020 by a team of enterprise software engineers and marketing operations leaders who had spent their careers fighting the same problem: finding the right asset, in the right version, at the right time is harder than it should be.
We believe that creative and marketing teams do their best work when they can focus on storytelling — not on hunting for files. AssetsXP exists to give every enterprise team a unified, intelligent system of record for all their digital content, so they can move faster, stay on-brand, and deliver remarkable experiences to their audiences at global scale.
In early 2019, co-founders Jennifer Ashworth and Marcus Williams were both working as consultants embedded in a Fortune 500 consumer goods company's marketing operations team. Their client was managing over 40,000 product images, campaign videos, and brand documents across a combination of SharePoint folders, Google Drive, and a decade-old legacy DAM system that required a manual ticketing process just to retrieve assets.
They watched marketing coordinators spend an average of 2.5 hours per day simply locating assets, verifying version accuracy, and obtaining download permissions. Creative directors were re-creating assets that already existed because no one could find the originals. Brand compliance was eroding as regional teams used outdated logos found on old hard drives.
They knew AI had the potential to solve this problem fundamentally — not with better folder structures or tagging guidelines, but by making the system understand content the way humans do. After 18 months of development and a founding round of $4.2M in seed funding, AssetsXP launched in January 2020 with its first five enterprise customers.

Our leadership team brings decades of experience in enterprise software, computer vision AI, and marketing technology.
Jennifer brings 18 years of enterprise software experience, having previously held VP roles at Oracle Marketing Cloud and Salesforce. She holds an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business and a B.S. in Computer Science from UCLA. Jennifer led AssetsXP through its Series A and B funding rounds and has been recognized on the Forbes Cloud 100 Rising Stars list in 2023.
Marcus is an AI and distributed systems engineer with a Ph.D. in Computer Vision from Carnegie Mellon University. He previously led the machine learning platform team at Adobe and co-authored three patents in AI-based image classification. He built AssetsXP's core AI tagging engine and oversees all platform architecture, infrastructure, and security engineering.
Priya has spent her career in B2B SaaS product management, with prior roles at Widen Collective and Bynder. She is the architect of AssetsXP's Brand Portal and Digital Rights Management products. Priya holds an M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech and is deeply committed to building enterprise software that creative teams actually enjoy using.
